Meet Hideout
The Hideout Salon and Lounge is a funky, eclectic salon located in the heart of East Nashville. Our mission is to give the community great hair and cultivate a safe space to be creative. Our space is one that is for the misfits, the creators, the yogis, the artists, the musicians, the loiterers, the rebels, and most of all for good hair! We welcome all to come get cuts and colors by some of Nashville’s most bad-ass stylists, who, like the space itself, are unique, creative, and in love with their craft. In addition to the salon, we will regularly host a myriad of events like live music, community classes, and art shows featuring local artists. At The Hideout Salon and Lounge we strongly believe in creating safe spaces for creativity, cultivation, and exploration

Chelsea started The Hideout Salon and Lounge to create a space and community that welcomes everyone to be their unique selves, and to create great hair! She has been a stylist since 2005, originally from gloomy Seattle where she first fell in love with mermaid-colored hair under grey skies. In her free time she goes on adventures with her family, and bakes mediocre cakes.

With a keen eye for detail honed through years of laboratory research and meticulous lash extension work, AJ approaches every client's hair as a canvas for artistic expression and meticulous care. Specializing in vibrant colors and intricate color corrections, they thrive on the challenge of transforming hair while maintaining its health and vitality. AJ's ultimate goal is not just to create stunning looks, but to ensure that each client leaves feeling confident, beautiful, and with hair that radiates health and vitality.

I like to think of myself as a multi talented alternative black girl who cannot be put into a box! love trying new things and free styling with shapes and colors. A third generation north Nashville native. Love talking about sustainable living, art, music and random fun facts. Informative conversationalist with a lot of hair knowledge.

Ash was born and raised in Nashville and has been doing hair since 2020. In her free time she enjoys sewing and playing video games with friends. Ash loves the creativity and non stop self growth within this career as well as meeting and getting to know new people everyday!

Izzy is a Nashville native who found his passion for cosmetology while doing theatre. Izzy graduated from Aveda, and their favorite part of doing hair is that they get to help people love themselves. He loves to see everyone smile when they see themselves in the mirror! A lover of horror, anime, animals, nature, and video games, you can find Izzy in a theatre or day dreaming about being in a field of cows.
Izzy’s number one priority is that everyone that sits in his chair feels safe and comfortable. They love doing creative colors, cuts, and big transformative pieces. (Anything that helps you feel more like you!) As a neurodivergent person, Izzy knows about the importance of having accommodations. If this is something you need, please don’t hesitate to ask him!
When Izzy isn’t at The Hideout, you’ll find them writing music with their fiancé, playing with his bunny Clover, cuddling with his dog Baymax, or getting lost in a forest. Izzy is a very bubbly person and would love to tailor to your unique experience.

Cat mom Jera is a Nashville native who loves anything music, film, philosophy, art, and history. Her love for art and caring for others blossomed into a passion for cosmetology at a very young age. She has an eye for color, and deeply cares about each clients wants and needs. She believes everyone deserves to feel their best, no matter their background, hair type, race, sexuality or gender. She has always dreamed of creating a safe space for people like herself. The weird, dark, artistic, free thinkers are always welcome in her chair.

In free time, they enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, and loving all of the pets out there!

Voted Nashville Scene 2023 best hairstylist; Macks - A native Tennessean whose passion for doing hair started in high school by experimenting with her and her friends’ hair. Moving to Nashville and graduating from Aveda, Macks really found her passion for global blonding, dimensional color, and razor haircuts. Outside of work you can catch her at any punk/rock/alt show or trying to soak up as much time with her friends as possible. Her cat Cheez is her world, she believes laughter is the best medicine, and she considers her clients her friends.

Molly Pepper, originally from Memphis, TN, fell in love with Nashville’s eccentric charm quite some time ago, she attended Paul Mitchell The School and transformed into a knowledgeable, budding stylist, thanks to her amazing teachers. She is armed with a long term passion for everything beauty related, she started doing hair and makeup when she was young, sketching makeup looks in a journal and taking three years of cosmetology in high school, she always loved the transformative effect it has on a person, making someone feel at their best is her biggest passion and why she loves being a cosmetologist, when she isn’t researching how to perfect a new color technique, she is hanging out, playing video games with her son, Collin, or making art, whether it be photography, painting or graphic design, she enjoys to live a creative life.

Specializing in an array of services from the most basic cut to elaborate colors and extension work ; Shelby is your go-to gal for pretty much anything! Born the awkward sheep of the family she feels at home at The Hideout where she’s been rocking out amazing hair creations for the past 2 years. In her free time she’s at home taking care of her 2 little girls and binging all of the stupid and mindless shows on Netflix. Although she has a following, Shelby is always open to take on new clientele!

Meet your new ride or die stylist and number one fan, Miranda! At 17, she left her hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend college and backpack the world before settling in East Nashville in 2017.
Miranda prides herself on making sure you feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe in her chair. Nothing makes her happier than seeing when her clients light up after a visit. She loves all things hair, and wants to make sure you always leave with a look that is uniquely yours. Hair and scalp health are some of her top priorities!
When not rocking out hair at The Hideout you’ll find Miranda binge watching obscure horror films and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, playing with her pit bull Abbi, and jamming to the music being made at the recording studio where she lives.
She’s always down to discuss conspiracy theories, new podcasts, and how long you’d survive in a horror movie (spoiler: Miranda’s definitely final girl material)!

Nashville native and frequent traveler who started her passion of fun hair by trying out all kinds of different ideas on herself and many, many friends. Since then, she’s had a focus on vivids and shaved hair design . In her free time, she likes to hangout with her assortment of animals (her dog Jackass, her cats Mochi and Tuxedo Man, and her ferret Marcy), watch anime, and eat yummy food with good company.

If you prefer a "silent appointment" where you can just relax and enjoy the process without feeling obligated to chat, she's all for it!
When she's not busy foiling away in the salon, you'll find Meghan hanging out with her adorable cat, Arya, or hitting the gym to lift weights! With an iced coffee in hand and an Ariana Grande song in her ear, Meghan is ready to tackle the day, and create a hair look that will bring out your inner beauty.

She's all about passion, creativity, and making dreams come true, one hairstyle at a time.

Heather started her cosmetology journey at Paul Mitchell the School Nashville. She assisted for a year and a half in a salon, absorbing all the hair knowledge she could. She loves continuing her education with various classes for inspiration and new techniques she can use in the salon. Making people look and feel great about themselves is Heather's favorite part of being in this industry. She is excited to continue pursuing her passion for hair surrounded by such an amazing community of people.
When she's not in the salon, she's with her husband, Chris, their 4 boys - Chase, Ethan, Marshell and Draven.... and Socks, the cat. She enjoys DIY and being crafty, watching true crime documentaries and anything rock & roll.
